Experienced Aviation Professional Position

 

York Aviation is currently looking to recruit an experienced aviation specialist to join our team. We are looking for someone who has airport business planning experience, preferably having worked directly for an airport operator, and with a strong commercial and strategic skill set.

 

You will be expected to lead and/or support the delivery of projects relating to airport strategy and business planning, airport commercialisation and transaction due diligence. An understanding of airport economic regulation and economics would also be an advantage.

 

Whilst there will be a strong airport strategy and business focus to the role, from time to time there may be a requirement to undertake broader airport work across a range of York Aviation’s services. Hence, a good knowledge of the aviation market more broadly would be an advantage.

 

Key responsibilities would include:

 

  • airport business planning;

  • aviation and commercial strategy development;

  • management and coordination of specialist teams (including sub-consultants);

  • client point of contact on relevant projects

  • management of a portfolio of projects.

 

You will possess many if not all the following attributes:

 

  • Significant relevant experience in airport operations and management;

  • Be a team player and be able to work under your own initiative;

  • Have excellent IT skills, including use of the Microsoft Office package;

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills;

  • Good numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills;

  • Be able to organise your workload effectively and efficiently;

  • Understand the importance of business development activities and the need to develop strong relationships with clients;

  • A willingness to work on a range of different, challenging projects at one time.
