Heathrow Consultation for England's Regional Development Agencies
York Aviation has recently prepared advice for England's Regional Development Agencies on the economic value of Heathrow Airport to the regions, as part of the Government's consultation on the future development of Heathrow.
Airports Strategy for the Pomorskie Region of Poland
York Aviation, in partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers of Poland, is currently preparing an airports strategy for the Pomorskie region of Poland.
York Aviation is working with London City Airport to prepare the economic and social case for the expansion of the airport and has also been appointed to advise London City Airport on the passenger forecasts for the Airport in the light of recent ground transport developments and changes to the airport’s catchment area.
City of London Corporation
York Aviation has been appointed to undertaken a study for the City of London Corporation into the economic importance of air services to the City of London economy.
We are continuing to provide Ryanair with advice on regulatory matters related to ground handling and airport development issues at Stansted Airport and in relation to regulatory and capacity issues at Dublin Airport.
SESAR (Single European Sky) Project
We continue to participate in the SESAR (Single European Sky) Consortium as part of the BAA led airport team. The SESAR programme was launched at Eurocontrol in Brussels on the 5th and 6th March 2006.
York Aviation continues to carry out economic appraisals of potential new air routes from Scotland to assess whether Route Development Funding should be awarded. This work is for the Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Scottish Enterprise and Scottish Executive.
York Aviation provides Expert Witness at Public Inquiries Louise Congdon acted as an expert witness at the Public Inquiry into the increase of weekend movements at Farnborough Airport, and at the Public Hearing into Dublin Airport’s Terminal 2. Louise is also acting as expert witness on behalf of the Stansted Airlines Consultative Committee at the Stansted G1 Public Inquiry.
